In February 2025, the Bovis Group once again demonstrated its expertise in the delivery of high-tech medical equipment through a large-scale operation in the heart of Montpellier. Organized on behalf of our client Philips, this project involved the delivery of a 3.4-ton MRI scanner, followed the next day by the installation of a 2.4-ton CT scanner at the Imacam Clinic, ideally located near the iconic Place de la Comédie. This complex operation was managed by our Bovis Midi Pyrénées agency, with logistical and operational support from our local branch, Transmanudem Montpellier.

Customized night-time logistics for a dense urban environment

Working in a dense urban setting requires precision and ingenuity. To ensure smooth operations and maintain the peace for local residents, the Bovis team scheduled this medical equipment delivery in Montpellier during the night. This approach allowed for easier traffic management and the safe hoisting of the devices into place.

The operation required the temporary opening of the clinic’s façade to allow direct access for the large equipment. Thanks to meticulous coordination with the clinic’s technical teams and local authorities, the handling process went smoothly.

With six specialized handlers and a fleet consisting of three heavy-duty trucks and a 100 t/m crane truck, this project showcases the Bovis Group’s ability to manage the delivery and installation of heavy medical devices in even the most constrained environments.
