Installation of Industrial Presses in a Confined Environment: A Successful Synergy Between Our Poitiers and Angers Agencies

The Bovis Centre agency (Poitiers, 86), along with Bovis Pays de Loire and Trinstal Equipements (Angers, 49), recently joined forces to complete a major technical operation in the field of industrial transfer: the installation of two stacked 16-ton industrial presses at a high-tech production facility in western France.

One of the main challenges of this project was managing an extremely tight vertical clearance. Only 30 mm separated the top of the lower press from the factory ceiling, making the positioning phase particularly delicate. This situation required meticulous planning, flawless coordination between teams, and the use of some of the most advanced lifting equipment available on the market.

High-Precision Industrial Handling: Bovis Expertise and Next-Generation Equipment

To successfully carry out this heavy and delicate handling operation, our teams leveraged the full technical expertise of the Bovis Group, supported by an in-house engineering office and proven skills in OPC coordination (Scheduling, Supervision, and Control). A detailed preliminary study, combined with a careful analysis of the site’s constraints, enabled the definition of a perfectly adapted operating procedure.

The lifting and positioning of the presses were carried out using Enerpac synchronized cube jacks, cutting-edge equipment that allows for millimetric precision lifting while ensuring optimal load stability. This type of equipment is particularly well-suited for confined environments and operations requiring extreme precision.

This intervention once again demonstrates the Bovis Group’s ability to:
