Concrete Actions by the BOVIS Group for a More Sustainable Future

On the occasion of World Environment Day on June 5, the BOVIS Group reaffirms its commitment to protecting the planet. At a time when environmental challenges have become critical, sustainability has become one of the cornerstones of our corporate strategy.

Our objective is clear: to take concrete action to reduce our environmental footprint, raise awareness among our employees and partners, and actively contribute to environmental preservation across all areas of our business.

Reducing Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions

Since 2022, BOVIS Transports has voluntarily committed to an ambitious program aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions generated by its activities. This program will gradually be extended across the entire Group.

This initiative is built around three key pillars:

1. Driver Focus

• Initial and ongoing eco-driving training
• Management and promotion of responsible driving practices in the field

2. Vehicle Focus

• Tire retreading and regrooving
• Vehicles equipped with:
  • Automated gearboxes
  • Independent air conditioning systems
  • Stop-and-start technology
• Use of additives for diesel engines

3. Fuel Focus

• Ongoing assessment of HVO fuel (potential GHG reduction exceeding 90%)
• Deployment of low-consumption technologies

Eco-Responsible Fleet Management

Our efforts go beyond regulatory requirements. The BOVIS Group is transforming its fleet and equipment through:

• Adoption of EURO 6 standards
• Transition to a 100% electric light vehicle fleet
• Investment in electric forklifts and mini cranes
• Integration of geolocation systems to accurately monitor routes, measure tonne-kilometers traveled, and implement emission optimization plans

Waste Management: Sorting, Traceability and Source Reduction

Transport, storage and handling activities generate waste, which we manage responsibly through:

• Selective waste sorting in all depots and offices (paper, wood, plastic, non-hazardous industrial waste, batteries, toner cartridges, etc.)
• Use of the Trackdéchets platform to ensure full waste traceability
• Selection of reusable equipment to reduce waste at the source
• Recyclable packaging:
  • Cardboard made from 90% recycled fibers
  • 100% recyclable wooden and plastic packaging

Energy Efficiency in Our Buildings

We continuously improve the energy performance of our facilities through:

• Building Management Systems (BMS) to monitor air conditioning, heating and detect malfunctions
• An energy resilience plan including insulation, LED lighting, occupancy sensors and twilight sensors
• Progressive deployment of photovoltaic panels: first installation completed in 2023, with expansion planned at additional branches by 2025

CSR Commitments: Supporting People and Biodiversity

Sustainability at BOVIS extends beyond environmental considerations and is part of a broader Corporate Social Responsibility approach:

• Participation in reforestation projects
• Support for turtle conservation programs in Madagascar
• Commitment to the United Nations Global Compact principles
• Installation of beehives in partnership with beekeepers to promote local biodiversity

Environmental Monitoring and Performance

All our initiatives are supported by rigorous monitoring:

• Monthly tracking of energy consumption
• Implementation of internal environmental performance indicators
• Regular inspections of equipment including gates, forklifts, cranes, tail lifts and electrical installations
• Preventive maintenance of heating and HVAC systems
