Laboratory Relocation in Lyon, France

The Bovis Group Carries Out the Transfer of ANSM Laboratories in Lyon Gerland

In February 2025, Manudem Rhône Alpes, a company of the Bovis Group, successfully completed the full relocation of the laboratories of the French National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products (ANSM), located in Lyon. This large-scale, highly technical project mobilized a dedicated team of 10 movers specialized in laboratory relocations for two weeks, showcasing our proven expertise in the medical and scientific sectors.

A Highly Technical and Carefully Coordinated Transfer

The mission involved moving all equipment, furniture, and materials from an old building to a new site. In total, nearly 30 laboratory rooms were transferred, along with three cold rooms at both positive and negative temperatures, crucial for the secure storage of samples and sensitive products.

To ensure the success of this project, we implemented:

  • Two separate teams, one dedicated to the departure site and the other to the arrival site, to streamline operations and optimize intervention time.
  • Two heavy trucks in continuous rotation to maintain regular logistics flows.
  • A team specialized in cold-chain transfers, ensuring the maintenance of both positive and negative cold conditions throughout the move.

Major Logistical Challenges

This relocation faced several key challenges:

  • The arrival building was only partially completed at the time of the move, requiring constant adjustments.
  • High co-activity with other contractors working on-site.
  • Strict separation of flows for safety and regulatory compliance reasons.

Despite these constraints, the relocation was completed without incident, thanks to meticulous planning, operational precision, and the professionalism of our teams.
