Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes
As part of its temporary closure for accessibility upgrades, the Museum of Printing and Graphic Communication in Lyon entrusted the Bovis Group with a delicate mission: the transfer and relocation of wooden heritage furniture under optimal conditions of security and conservation. Bovis Manudem Rhône-Alpes carried out the operation on behalf of Bovis Fine Art, as part of a dynamic anoxia treatment service.
The relocation of the museum’s historic furniture — including typographic cabinets and type cases — required meticulous planning. Our teams carefully packed each item, taking into account its heritage value and fragility. The pieces were then transported from the museum to our facilities in Lyon in preparation for a specialized pest control treatment.
Before being installed in the museum’s new external storage facility, the wooden elements underwent dynamic anoxia treatment, performed directly at the Manudem Rhône-Alpes site. This disinfestation phase was made possible thanks to the use of a mobile treatment chamber provided by Bovis Anoxie, a specialized subsidiary of the Bovis Group.
Our teams handled the logistics, handling, installation, and monitoring of this technical operation with precision and care.
Once the treatment was completed, the items were repacked and delivered to their secure storage location. This large-scale move involved the full range of our expertise: planning, coordination, secure transport, and strict adherence to deadlines. Thanks to seamless communication between the museum, the Anoxie teams, and our Lyon branch, the entire operation was executed successfully.
Firmly established in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, Bovis Manudem Rhône-Alpes supports its clients in all types of professional relocation, specialized logistics, and technical transfer projects.
