Strategic hospital relocation at the heart of the GHEF

From April to June 2025, the Bovis Group carried out the turnkey relocation of Meaux Hospital, part of the Greater East Île-de-France Hospital Group (GHEF).

This major project, completed in an occupied environment and coordinated with construction phases on Building B under restructuring, perfectly illustrates the Group’s expertise in hospital relocations in the Île-de-France region.

The Bovis Transferts Hospital Unit managed the entire project, in coordination with the specialised consultancy Déméninge for relocation engineering and OPC (Planning, Scheduling and Coordination).

On site, four Group agencies were involved: Bovis Transports (91), Marchal Technologies (95), Bovis Nord Europe (59) and Rousselot Manutention (54).

A fully controlled hospital transfer with uninterrupted medical services

The project covered all hospital departments, including:

• Medical imaging
• Intensive care and critical care units
• Cardiology
• Operating theatres
• Mental health units
• Emergency services
• Medical archives
• Technical and IT departments

Each stage was planned to ensure continuity of care and the safety of patients and staff.

The operation required more than twenty truck rotations per day, involving 20 specialised movers over a three-month period.

Transfer engineering supporting a turnkey operation, from planning to project completion

The mission covered the full fit-out of the Medicine–Surgery–Psychiatry (MCP) building, as well as the relocation of operating theatres, laboratories, imaging departments and intensive care units.

The OPC phase carried out by the specialised consultancy Déméninge ensured precise scheduling, in coordination with hospital teams, construction companies and biomedical equipment manufacturers.

Each stage — inventories, definition of relocation zones, micro-planning, logistical preparation and flow supervision — was coordinated by the Hospital Unit, ensuring a smooth, secure transfer with no loss of information.
